Croatia is located across the Adriatic Sea from Italy, it's coast lined with over 1,200 islands, each with unique features. Larger islands are many miles in size, several miles apart, and only accessible by boat. There are countless places to explore on each island from castles to caves, markets to fine dining, and beach lounges to nightclubs. Swimming is usually only possible only during the day-time stops from the yacht, some towns have rocky/small-pebble beaches to swim from shore
Water temperatures are fairly cool even in the summer months, similar to swimming conditions in California
Snorkeling and SCUBA are not available in most locations
Most anchorages feature ample land-based cultural, historical, and sight-seeing activities
Some moderate hiking available
Most anchorages feature restaurants, cafes, bars, lounges, historical sites, scenic views, natural feats, and towns to explore
Few anchorages have small gift shops for souvenir shopping
Many anchorages feature access to taxi services that will take visitors to various locations only accessible by land (hill-top restaurants)
