Destination
Charter yachts are available for rent in locations all around the world. Each destination is carefully selected to feature a variety of attractions, all accessible by yacht. The choice it yours; explore the options, and pick whichever sounds the most appealing to you. Wherever in the world you decide to visit, you will travel to your destination (typically by airplane, ferry, and/or taxi) and arrive to find a charter yacht (and crew) waiting for you.
Yacht
You will be spending a fair amount of time on your charter yacht, so it's important that you choose a one that you will be comfortable on. All yachts are equip with the basic necessities you would find in a typical bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen. The yacht will be your "vehicle" between destinations, but also your "hotel" and "restaurant." Once you board the yacht, you will make yourself at home as you unpack and gather your food, beverages, and supplies.
Activities
Each day, you will typically move your yacht to a new bay or marina of your choosing. Every destination will offer a unique variety of activities. Depending on what interests you and where you are, you will be able to swim, snorkel, hike, walk through town, shop, dine, drink, sunbathe, ride a bike, rent a car, take a tour, explore caves, kayak, and more. Activities vary greatly by destination, pick a destination that will fulfill your #vacationdreams.
Sailing
Sailing makes your journey between destinations very peaceful, fun, and enjoyable. All sailing yachts are also equip with engines. Sails will be stowed and the motor will be used when entering a harbor. All sailboats are extremely well-balanced, safe, and controlled at all times, even during inclement weather. Sailing yachts are designed with physics in mind, and mechanics to prevent them from "flipping over." Under sail, catamarans remain level and offer a low-key, relaxed experience, whereas monohulls sometimes lean to one side and offer an active, sporty experience. Sailing yachts typically cruise around 8 knots (10mph), power yachts typically cruise around 20 knots (25mph).
Cost
A sailing vacation may not be as pricy as you would think. Your biggest costs are generally travel arrangements and chartering the yacht. The cost of the yacht may appear high at first, but in comparison to hotel rooms, it is quite economical. A charter yacht can sleep anywhere from 4-12 people very comfortably and also includes a full kitchen. Charter a yacht that is proportionate to the number of guests, plan to cook & eat some meals aboard, and turn your yacht into your own floating bar. Typically, a 7-day vacation in the British Virgin Islands with round-trip airfare from Florida can be as low as $2,000 per person, everything except bar tabs, souvenirs, and excursions included.
Season
Caribbean season is during the winter (December-April). Winter months are more cool, dry, and windy. Summer months are more rainy, still, and hot. Hurricane season (June - October) may also affect your vacation, August and September should be avoided unless you have flexible schedules and travel arrangements.
Mediterranean season is during the summer months (June-October). Most destinations are not open during the winter months due to cold temperatures, but summers are quite enjoyable. Winds are often unpredictable, the air is dry and water is cooler.
